Overview
Quality education is essential for tomorrow’s workforce to be successful. Adequate funding and other critical tools are needed to assure that the next generation of workers is properly prepared for the workforce. We must be proactive in increasing the skills of our current workforce to stay current with the demands of business.
Local
The Chamber supports public and private workforce development initiatives that will enhance Midland’s ability to train skilled employees for future job development.
State
The Chamber supports necessary funding that is critical for public K-12 schools, community colleges, colleges and universities, and technical training to prepare students to compete in a global economy.
The Chamber favors study of current high school graduation requirements for possible modification.
