Overview

Energy is essential for growth and that is why the Chamber is proactive in promoting the increase of our energy supply.  The Chamber favors access to all types of energy to ensure a constant, reliable supply is available.  With more energy options, costs will be lowered, resulting in widespread benefit.   

State

The Chamber supports a long-term energy plan that addresses Michigan’s energy needs including construction of new generation, improved regulatory oversight process, upgrades of transmission, energy efficiency and renewable energy.  Additionally, the Chamber supports initiatives that encourage an ample supply of reliable energy sources at competitive costs and the development of alternative energy sources to enhance Michigan’s future economic development opportunities.

National

The Chamber supports action to enhance the viability of renewable and alternative energy production.
