Labor
Overview
The Chamber does not support labor laws or policies that have a negative impact on the employee, employer, and the taxpayer. The prevailing wage law unnecessarily increases the cost to the taxpayer and limits job growth. The removal of the secret ballot in a union election violates an employee’s right to privacy and could result in coercion or sanctions. An employer should have the right to talk with employees about the changes unionization would bring. Labor agreements should be willingly entered into by both parties.
